14 Losing Dispensary Applicants File Legal Protests
As predicted here, 14 losing dispensary applicants filed legal challenges to the DOH’s award of the first 5 dispensary licenses to the winners. It will take many months for all 14 challenges to be decided, further delaying the implementation of Florida’s 2014 low-THC law. It will take many months for all these legal challenges to be decided. Three different Administrative Law Judges are handling them. However, despite these legal challenges, the Department of Health is going ahead with licensing for these 5 Florida dispensaries. This means that the first 5 Florida dispensaries will have to submit formal requests for permission to begin growing legal medical marijuana in Florida by February 7, 2016. This is hopeful. We will keep you updated.
