Attorney General Misses November 9 Deadline To Oppose Florida Medical Marijuana Initiative
Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi has decided not to oppose United for Care’s Florida medical marijuana initiative. As noted in earlier articles, the Florida Supreme Court set a November 9 deadline for parties to file an opposition to United for Care’s Florida medical marijuana plan. The Attorney General’s decision not to oppose the measure clears the way for faster approval by the Florida Supreme Court. (Basically the same measure was reviewed and approved by the Florida Supreme Court in 2014 so renewed approval by the Court is expected again.)
Attorney General Opposed Florida Medical Marijuana Previously
The Florida Attorney General has changed her stance as she opposed the same Florida medical marijuana petition last time around. At least, she understands that the initiative is likely to be approved again by the Florida Supreme Court since it was approved for vote during the last election cycle.
