Florida Supreme Court Approves Florida Medical Marijuana Petition
As predicted in our previous articles on the subject here, the Florida Supreme Court has again approved (although unanimously, this time) United for Care’s Florida medial marijuana petition for vote on the November, 2016 ballot. A copy of the Florida Supreme Court’s ruling can be found here.
“The unanimous decision by the Florida Supreme Court to approve the new medical marijuana constitutional amendment is a huge victory for hundreds of thousands of sick and suffering Floridians who could benefit from the passage of such a law,” Ben Pollara, head of the United for Care effort said in a statement released to the media. Pollara went on to note that although United for Care “still must collect the required number of petitions, we are confident that we will, and that Florida voters will approve this amendment in the general election. ”
