San Francisco’s Care By Design and AbsoluteXtracts Offer Free Pot to NorCal Fire Victims| 0
Available through October 7, two of the Bay Area’s more compassionate collectives – Care By Design and AbsoluteXtracts – are donating up to $ 200 worth of free medical marijuana products to Prop 215 patients who were recently affected by Northern California’s massively destructive wildfire.
According to the LA Times:
“Patients eligible for the free products must have a prescription and home addresses in Cobb, Kelseyville, Middletown or Hidden Valley Lake — among the hardest hit communities over the last three weeks, where the Valley fire has ripped through 118 square miles, destroyed nearly 2,000 homes and claimed four lives.”
Per a collective statement from the two dispensaries, “This disaster happened in our own backyard. As a company that prides itself on putting patient needs first, we felt there was no better time to reach out and help our neighbors in their time of need.”
As medical marijuana crops went up in flames during the Valley fire in Amador and Calaveras counties, the Butte fire also destroyed approximately 475 homes, killed two people and burned through nearly 71,000 acres since firing up on Sept. 9.
With the primary blazes nearly fully contained, the two altruistic collectives have kicked down approximately $ 20,000 worth of cannabinoid-rich products to those suffering from one of Northern California’s most devastating fires.
