Two Additional Marijuana Petitions Filed| 0
The renewed drive to put a constitutional amendment allowing for the legal use of medical marijuana on the 2016 Florida ballot is no longer alone. Two additional ballot initiatives were filed in Florida last month, including one that would allow for the recreational use of marijuana. The other proposed amendment would allow the possession of marijuana up to 4 ounces.
These proposed constitutional amendments need 683,149 verified signatures to get placed on the ballot. The original initiative, United for Care, collected more than 1,000,000 signatures in advance of the last election and is expected to meet the minimum threshold this time as well.
