West Palm Beach Votes To Decriminalize Marijuana| 0
The City of West Palm Beach has voted unanimously to allow its police officers the discretion to issue $100 civil fines to anyone found in possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana (instead of charging the offender with a crime). West Palm Beach now joins a growing list of Florida cities and municipalities that have voted to decriminalize the possession of small amounts of marijuana. Those cities or municipalities now include Miami-Dade County and Key West. Additional cities and municipalities are expected to vote similarly in the months and weeks to come.
